staghorn sumac

“Staghorn sumac” (2016-2019), is about of process of reclaiming the space. No man’s land becomes the property of the one who first seized it. Nature overgrows the relics of human activity, light destroys the structure, water takes possession of it, paint splashes spread out involuntarily. The act of taking photos is nothing else than pure appropriation Can we not speak of the outright violence here? But are we sure? The anxiety is not direct, it is more subcutaneous. It grows like the staghorn sumac.
